Important:Please do not ask for an exception. Our Event terms and conditions are clearly stated and applied evenly, without exception. 

The 2024 ASICS Runaway Noosa Marathon has now reached event capacity for all distances. We will not open a waitlist for any distance, as no further entries will become available.  

Our team have been working hard behind the scenes with our stakeholders to ensure as many participants as possible are given the opportunity to run with us on May 25th. We are super excited that over 7,000 of you will be joining us this year – our biggest event ever!

All distances at the 2024 ASICS Runaway Noosa Marathon have now sold out, as such there is no option to change distance.

Yes. Athletes can transfer their race entry to someone else in accordance with the below stated Person to Person Transfer date: 

  • Person to Person transfers accepted up until 5:00pm (AEST) on 16 May 2024. No Person-to-Person transfers accepted after this date.
  • A transfer fee of $27AUD (including all fees and taxes) will be charged to the withdrawing athlete. 
  • Athletes can formally transfer their entry to someone else within the same distance event already entered. 
  • Any other additional purchases, already paid for on your behalf by the Event Operator to a third-party service provider such as Sportograf Official Event Photographer photo packs, medal engraving tag or charity donations are not refundable and will not be transferred with your entry. 
  • It is not possible to transfer your entry to someone else who is wanting to do a different distance event (i.e. Full Marathon to Half Marathon). 
  • To transfer an entry to someone else, the initial registrant must log in to their MyEvents account, select ‘Transfer Registration’ and follow the necessary steps. Please note: the receiving athlete will be sent a link to complete the registration and will need to pay for the entry (at the current entry price advertised at https://runawaynoosamarathon.com.au) in order for the transfer to process.  The original athlete will be refunded their entry fee less the $27AUD (including all fees and taxes) transfer fee. 
  • Athletes who deferred into this event, are required to contact event email to request a Person-to-Person transfer. 

**As stated in the Athlete Waiver, under no circumstance are you permitted to give your bib to another person. The safety of our athletes is paramount, therefore we need to ensure we have correct details of all our athletes on course.

Unfortunately, all distances are now completely sold out and no further entries will become available. As such, we do not have a waitlist.

Person to Person transfers are accepted up until 5:00pm (AEST) on 16 May 2024. Please join the Runaway Noosa Entry Transfers Facebook group if you can no longer make it or you are looking to run. Please note - It is not possible to transfer your entry to someone else who is wanting to do a different distance event (i.e. Half Marathon to 10km).

The safety of our athletes is paramount, and we require information for all athletes on course – it is a condition of entry that you do not give your bib to another person to run under without formally transferring the entry.

If you are unable to attend Athlete Check-In, someone will need to collect your race bib on your behalf during check-in opening hours.
You will need to provide them with a copy of your QR code email (sent race week) 

If you registered before 11:59pm on the 21st of April, your name will be on your Race Bib. If you registered or made any changes to your entry on or after the 22nd of April, your name will not appear on your bib and your will be reissued a Race Bib.

No. ASICS Runaway Noosa does not have a bib postage option. All athletes must attend Athlete Check-In or another person can collect on their behalf.

Yes. They must attend Athlete check-in during opening hours. You will also need to provide them with a copy of your QR code email (sent race week)

Marathon

Overall course cut-off: 6hours from start time, 12:15pm.

Due to course management and strict conditions to reopen Noosa Heads and surrounding roads, the below cut-off times are in place to meet the 12:15pm course closure:

  • 10:51am – Noosa Parade u-turn to start lap 4 at the 31.6km mark
  • 11:35am – Hilton Esplanade u-turn lap 4 at the 36.9km mark
  • 11:55am – Weyba Road roundabout lap 4 at the 39.4km mark

 

Half Marathon, 10km, 5km

Overall course cut-off: 12:15pm

 

In the event an athlete fails to meet the above course cut-offs, or progress shows they may not meet the overall course cut-off, they may be given the option to complete the race via the footpath or pull out of the race entirely.

Any decision made will be at the sole discretion of the Race Director and communicated to the athlete on course with adequate warning.

If you forgot to add these items during your registration, you can log back into your registration and add them via your MyEvents account on or before 11:59pm Sunday 12th May.  Alternatively, you can purchase a Medal Tag at our onsite Merchandise store located at Lions Park (next to Athlete Check-In). Please view the event schedule for opening hours.
