Athlete Check In

 

Athlete Check In is compulsory for all participants.

Location: Noosa Heads Surf Life Saving car park, Noosa Heads
Time: 5:45am - 9:15am

Individuals will receive:

  • Swim Cap - Colour corresponding to your category/wave
  • Timing Chip
  • Body Number - after collecting your race kit, you must see Body Numbering team

Race Essentials

Cut Off Times

The 3.8km Swim does have cut off times due to logistics. The last swimmer must reach the furthest turning buoy at Tea Tree Bay before 7:55am.

Fin Wave

The 1km will have a Fin Wave, where swimmers may wear fins/flippers. This is a non-competitive wave.

Wetsuits

The 3.8km, 2km and 1km distances will have a Wetsuit Wave, where swimmers may wear a wetsuit. This is a non-competitive wave.

Competing In Multiple Distances

Many swimmers choose to compete in 2, 3 or 4 distances at Swim Noosa.

This is possible but please note it is the swimmer's responsibility to ensure they have sufficient time between races and that they are able to make the next wave start. 

Age Group

Your age is of race day.

Presentations

 

Location: Main Beach, Noosa Heads
Time: 10am

Medals will be awarded to 1st -3rd in each category for all distances.

If you cannot stay for presentations, you will need to contact IRONMAN office on swimnoosa@ironman.com or 1300 761 384 to arrange collection or postage.
Postage will be the responsibility of the swimmer. 

 

Prize Money

Prize Money will be awarded to 1st-3rd place in the Open Category in the 3.8km and 2km Swim.

Prize money is equal for both male and female.

3.8km Swim

1st - $800
2nd - $400
3rd - $200

2km Swim

1st - $500
2nd - $250
3rd - $125

Post Race

Recovery

Recovery will be after the finish line where fruit and water will be available.

Timing Chip

Volunteers will be located after the Finish Line to remove your Timing Chip.

Timing Chips must be returned, any non- returned timing chips will incur a $150 non-returned fee.

Things to Know

 

Bag Drop

Bag drop will be available next to the Check In Tent.

Swimmers must provide their own small bag, tags will be provided.

 

First Aid

First Aid will be available onsite, please see a Staff member if you require assistance.

 

Lost Property

Any and all lost property will be handed into the Help Desk at Check In.

 

Parking

Parking is available in and around Noosa, please note parking is limited.

All road/parking rules are in place.
